Common Craft Videos
Common Craft Videos provide easy explanations of technology resources such as blogging, podcasting, or wikis. Simply go to the website and do a search for topics of interest. These videos are a great way to introduce new technology to students and teachers.
Voice Thread
Voice Thread provides an easy way for students to view and interact with presentations, images, or videos. Simple upload a presentation, record your audio (if necessary) and give students the URL. Students can then go to the site, view and listen to your presentation and respond via text, audio recordings, or even video recordings. Visit my Voice Thread presentation on the Harlem Renaissance.
Blogger
Blogging is my new favorite venue for students to practice writing skills. My students have created their own blogs about a topic of their choice. I am amazed at the posts that they have contributed both to their own blogs, but also to peer blogs. Blogging has truly opened up my classroom to the world and students are realizing that writing can be a wonderful way to make their voices heard. Check out Google's Blogger and start one of your own.
